Mt Tomah

Our local Cafe - The Hive
A gorgeous (almost hipsterish for this part of the world) cafe. Run by a lovely couple who make fresh sourdough, great scones and snacks and, of course, coffee. They have a live beehive built into the side of the building which is fascinating for kids and adults alike. Often closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and only open during the day. You will find it just 5 minutes from the Tomah Retreat at the base of Mt Tomah.

Bilpin (10 minutes)

Hillbilly Cider has a cider cellar door, great scrumpy and lovely oven-roasted pizzas. Open during the day and some weekend nights.

Bilpin Cider has tastings available from its cellar door and picnics can be ordered on the weekends.

The Hi-Hopes Roadhouse is just 10 minutes down the road in Bilpin, next to the post office. There's also a wood-fired oven for some delicious pizzas. Open during the day, 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. On weekends it's open for dinner.  2588 Bells Line of Road, Bilpin.

The Grumpy Baker is opposite the Hi-Hopes and has coffee, pies, cakes and bread.

Pie in the Sky is - as you might imagine - a great little coffee and pie stopover.

Maggie-Lou's Bites (temporarily closed) have lots of delicious burgers and dessert and coffee. Open during the day and some weekend nights

Tutti Frutti has re-opened after being destroyed in the 2019 fires. Excellent homemade dishes and ice cream.
